An IG P&I Club is seeking an experienced claims professional to join the team in Athens….
This role is due to expansion and offers realistic progression opportunities for an ambitious candidate keen to progress into a managerial role in the future.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promote the relationship between the Club and existing Members for which the Claims team is responsible.
- Handle assigned claims in accordance with company procedures, provide advice on claims related issues and identify the need for loss prevention activity
- Handling a wide range of P&I issues and a substantial Defence caseload, including complex and high-value shipping matters for charerers and shipowners
This role would suit a shipping claims professional who has a minimum of 7 years of experience advising on P&I claims, such as cargo, crew, collisions and pollution. The role will also involve advising on contractual claims such as charterparty and bills of lading disputes (full training given if required).
