A Technical Superintendent (Container Ships) is sought to join a Rotterdam office, overseeing the technical management of a specialised container fleet within an international environment. Candidates must have EU right to work.
Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical performance and condition of assigned container vessels, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective operations from a Rotterdam-based office.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the technical condition and performance of assigned vessels
- Conducting vessel inspections and coordinating surveys, repairs and class/flag requirements
- Planning and executing dry dockings
- Preparing and managing vessel budgets
- Overseeing cost-effective procurement of spares, stores and services
Requirements
- Sea-going experience as a minimum Second Engineer and/or relevant shore-based Technical Superintendent experience
- Strong technical knowledge of vessel operations and maintenance
- Experience with planned maintenance systems such as AMOS or ShipNet
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Team-oriented with the ability to work in an international environment
- Must have EU right to work
